How to Run a Subscription Sale on LoyalFans

If you’ve ever looked at the words “Promotional Campaign” on LoyalFans and immediately felt like you were about to accidentally enroll in a marketing seminar, you’re definitely not alone. The feature itself is actually super simple, the wording just makes it sound way more corporate than it needs to be.

All it really does is let you run subscription discounts and promos for new subscribers.

Where to Find the Promotional Campaign Button

From your LoyalFans home page, look underneath the “Create new post” section. You’ll see a tile that says…

That is the button you want.

This is where you create subscription sales and promotional offers for new subscribers.

Opening the Campaign Settings

Click ‘Add Promotional Campaign’ and a setup window will pop up with several dropdown menus and settings.

At first glance it looks like a lot, but it’s really just asking:

  • how long the sale lasts
  • how many people can use it
  • how much of a discount you want to give

That’s basically it. Also keep in mind the promotion is only for new subscribers.

Number of Offers

This controls how many people can claim the promotion.

For example:

  • unlimited offers = anyone can claim it until it expires
  • limited offers = only a certain number of fans can use it

Limited offers can create urgency if you want the promo to feel more exclusive.

Expiration

This sets how long the promotional campaign lasts.

You can make it:

  • a short weekend sale
  • a week-long promo
  • a longer campaign for launches or events

Shorter promos tend to create more urgency, while longer ones give more people time to see the offer.

Discount Percent

This is where you choose the actual subscription discount. Pretty self-explanatory.

Number of Days Free

Instead of a percentage discount, LoyalFans also lets you offer free subscription days. If you are running a percentage-off sale instead, you can usually leave this section alone.

Promotional Message

There’s also a message box where you can add a short note for users seeing the promo.

This is optional, but it’s a good spot for simple things like:

  • limited time offer
  • new subscriber sale
  • weekend special
  • subscriber appreciation promo

Short and clear usually works best here.

Private Invitation Option

At the bottom, you’ll see an option for a private invitation, which allows you to make the promotion more exclusive instead of public. Some creators use this for returning subscribers from other platforms and special DM promotions for followers and lurkers.

Starting the Campaign

Once everything looks good, click:

‘Start Campaign’

And your subscription sale is officially live!

Why Subscription Sales Work

Subscription sales are one of the easiest ways to lower the barrier for new fans to finally subscribe. Sometimes people are already interested and just need a little push.

They work especially well for:

  • holidays
  • launches
  • themed content weeks
  • slower months
  • bringing attention back to your page

And once fans subscribe, there’s always the chance they stick around after the sale ends.

Once you set up a promotional campaign the first time, it becomes pretty straightforward. A few dropdown menus, a decent discount, and suddenly your page looks a lot more tempting to new subscribers.
