If You’re Thinking of Changing Something Big, Let Your Fans Know

Thinking of switching up your vibe, taking a break, or making a big change to your page? Before you do anything major, talk to your fans.

Whether you’re planning to rebrand, pause customs, raise your prices, or switch content styles entirely, communication is key. Fans aren’t mind readers, and surprises don’t always land well-especially when people are spending money and investing in you.

Here’s why keeping fans in the loop helps everyone:

It shows respect.
Telling your fans about a change before it happens shows you care about their experience. It helps maintain trust, and they’ll be more likely to support the shift if they feel considered, not blindsided.

You reduce backlash.
If you’re raising prices, changing how you deliver customs, or switching up your vibe, people will have feelings. Giving them a heads-up (and maybe even explaining why) helps smooth the transition.

It builds hype.
Announcing a rebrand or teasing a big shift can actually increase engagement. Let fans feel like they’re part of your evolution. Ask for input. Build excitement. Make it a moment.

It gives loyal fans a chance to act.
If you’re cutting back on customs, offer them one last chance. If prices are going up, give them a final discount. These small windows can create urgency and boost tips.

What to Communicate:

  • A date the change will take effect.
  • Why the change is happening (keep it short but honest).
  • How it will affect them (pricing, frequency, types of content).
  • What they can expect moving forward.

How to Say It:

  • Use a mass message AND a feed post. Don’t rely on one.
  • Keep it short, clear, and confident. You’re allowed to change things–you’re just letting them in on it.
  • Offer appreciation for their support and let them know you’re excited about what’s next.

Fans can be incredibly supportive when you keep them in the loop. So if you’re thinking of making a big move, don’t ghost them–guide them.

A little heads-up goes a long way.
