Think of your Media Cloud as your digital storeroom—it’s where all your content lives, ready to be deployed to your fans. It keeps everything organized, lets you send out MMs and PPVs in a snap, and basically serves as the centerpiece for your money-making. But, if the Media Cloud setup feels like a bit of a maze, don’t worry. Here’s your quick-and-dirty guide to getting around your LoyalFans media cloud.
Getting to Your Media Cloud
Alright, first things first—you’ll need to actually find the Media Cloud before you can start working your magic. Just click on your profile picture in the upper-right corner of the screen. When the dropdown appears, scroll a bit, and you’ll spot a button labeled ‘Media Cloud’ with a cute little cloud icon next to it (just in case the name wasn’t clear enough).
Once you’re in, you’ll see all your files laid out. If you’ve set up folders, they’ll be nice and organized; if not, your files will just be floating around, free-range style.
Uploading New Content
To upload content, just click the big + NEW button at the top of your Media Cloud. A little dropdown will appear with two options: ‘New Folder’ and ‘Upload.’ Go ahead and click ‘Upload.’ From there, just pick what you want to add from your device or hard drive, and you’re set.
Big note here!! While you can rename files in the LoyalFans vault, you can currently only rename one at a time! If you’re planning on renaming your files so you can find them easily (LoyalFans lets you search by words in your file name!), you might want to rename them in bulk before uploading them.
Organizing Your Content
So, your content is uploaded…now what? If you’re like us, you’re probably itching to organize it right away.
If you decided to rename your files in the vault, click the three little dots on the bottom right of your media thumbnail. When the dropdown appears, select ‘Rename File,’ and type in whatever name makes sense for you.
Or, if you’re feeling fancy, select the media (you’ll know it’s selected when you see that red checkmark) and hit the pencil icon at the top of the page to rename.
Next, let’s put it in a folder. To make a new folder, click that ‘+ NEW’ button again (same one you use to upload) and choose ‘New Folder.’ Name your folder, and it’ll appear in your cloud.
Now, to move content into that folder, either drag and drop it, or select the media and click the folder icon with the arrow. A pop-up with all your folders will show up; pick the one you want, click ‘Move,’ and you’re good to go. Need to make another folder? You can also do that here by clicking the folder icon with the plus sign. Need to put a folder in another folder? Just drag and drop… or go to that folder and make a new folder like we just showed you. You can nest folders endlessly.
Checking Your Content’s History
At some point, you’ll probably want to check if you’ve already posted a piece of media on your timeline, sent it out as a mass message, or uploaded it to your store.
Double-click the media file, and bam—the media, along with its activity history, will show up on the left side of your screen. You’ll see when it was uploaded, who it’s been sent to, where it was shared, and even how much it was locked for, if you locked it. Handy, right? (You can also click the media and then hit that little “i” in the upper right corner to get to this!)
Searching the Media Cloud
Now that your stuff’s in the cloud, let’s talk about actually finding it—because what’s the point of uploading if it’s lost in the void, right? If you labeled your content with keywords (gold star for you! ⭐), just type your keyword into the search bar at the top of your cloud. All the matching images and videos will pop right up.
Filtering by Content Type
If digging through piles of content isn’t your thing, LoyalFans has you coveredwith a handy filtering feature. Click the little lines with arrows at the top right of your cloud, and a dropdown menu appears. From there, you can filter by content type, upload date, file size, last use, and more. Check the box for what you’re hunting for, and let the cloud do the heavy lifting.
Changing from a Thumbnail to a List View
If you’re more of a “let me see the details” type, you can switch to list view in your cloud. Click those two little rectangles in the upper right corner, and boom—your content list transforms. You can make the thumbnails smaller or keep clicking until you’re looking at a neat list of file names instead of pictures.
And there you have it—the LoyalFans Media Cloud crash course! Now you’re ready to dive in, get organized, and conquer the cloud.
