You want to send out a mass message but don’t want EVERYONE in your fanbase to get it? Maybe it’s just for your favorite subscribers or, perhaps, a select few fans need to be in the loop of some big promo. Or, let’s be real—some fans already have the content you’re sending, and you don’t want to flood their inboxes with stuff they’re not going to buy.
Whatever the deal is, here’s how to send mass messages to only the fans you actually want to reach.
First, go to your Messages page and click on the three little green men above the message threads.
At the mass message pop-up, click the dropdown with the world icon next to your fan count.
From there, you can choose your target group. Maybe you’re sending your subscribers a particular video for free. Maybe you’re sending a group you created your daily foot pic. Maybe you want to let your followers know there’s a subscription sale.
If you want to send to specific fans, scroll down the list until you find “Custom.” That category will let you manually add fans on the side (but if you’re going to be sending to the same group of people more than once, you might want to make a Group–which will show up in this dropdown menu once you’ve created it).
If there are people in the audience you selected that you don’t want to message (like that one fan that gets upset whenever he gets a generic MM? We understand, wow, do we understand), just click ‘Exclude’ next to their usernames.
Once that’s all done, you’re good to send!
