Sending free pics and videos is a solid way to maintain engagement with fans, but if you really want to make some cash, locked content in DMs or mass messages is the way to go.
Locking content in individual DMs and mass messages? It’s pretty much the same deal.
Here’s How You Do it For DMs:
First, head to Messages and open the convo with the fan you want to send the locked content to. Find the media you want in your cloud (that icon that looks like a guy jumping out of a bush), add it to the message, and slap some text on there. Now, click the lock icon at the bottom left of the messaging toolbox.
A pop-up will show up to set the price. (Yes, it says “Message Price” but it’s for the media you’ve attached, not the actual message text.)
Enter your price and hit ‘Save.’ Before you send, give your message a quick check to make sure it looks right (see below–check your price, that the content actually shows locked, and your text is right). Then fire it off.
If you’re not 100% sure you did it right, check the message once it finishes sending. You’ll know it’s locked when you see the price and “Not Paid Yet” next to it at the upper right hand corner of your media. (Below.)
Here’s How You Do it For Mass Messages
If you’re sending out PPVs, you’ll want to do that through mass messages. And, hey, if you’re having a brain fart and forgot how to get there, no biggie—we’ve got you.
First, click the mail icon in the upper-right corner next to your profile pic and hit ‘View All.’ Then, on the left side, hit the three little green men—this opens up your ‘Mass Messages’ toolbox.
Use the dropdown to find the group you want to send your PPV to.
Once you’ve got your group, head to your cloud, pick the media, add your perfect text, and then click the lock icon to set the price just like we did with the DM up top.
As always, double-check that things are locked up right. Nothing feels worse when you accidentally send out a video you worked really hard on for free. Everything look good? Hit send.
Boom. Done. Now, go make that cash
