Starting a Fansly Creator Account

Do you want to start a Fansly creator account? Be prepared to go through one of the most annoying sign-up processes of all time. The good news is that we are here to break down the steps to get your page up and running as painlessly as possible.

Before you even look at Fansly, make sure you have…

  • An acceptable form of identification (meaning: your passport, your government issued photo ID, your driver’s license, or your internal passport)
  • A blank piece of paper
  • Something to write with

On the Fansly homepage, click ‘Become a Creator’ at the bottom right corner of the screen (or left, depending on what browser you are using)

That’ll take you to the Become a Model page, where you can start the process of becoming a creator by clicking on ‘Create an Account and Apply’

Next, a popup will appear, letting you know you can make an account with your existing Twitter, Google account, or Twitch account. You can also make an account by creating a username and password, which is what we prefer. (Shadow-banning is real and it sucks.)

Clicking ‘Join’ will confirm your age and that you’re cool with Fansly’s Terms & Conditions. After you click it, you’ll end up on the official model application page. Don’t worry, you’re not experiencing déjà vu—it looks almost exactly like the ‘Become a Model’ page you just saw. Just click ‘Application’ to keep going.

But hang on, Fansly throws in another roadblock (way to stay on brand, Fansly!). You can’t move forward just yet. You’ll be taken to a page that says you need to verify your email address before you can continue.

As the pop-up says, don’t forget to check your spam folder. The subject will say ‘[Fansly] Please Verify Your Email.’ Open the email and click the link on it to verify your account.

You’ll be taken back to Fansly and logged into your account, but you don’t actually have a verified model account yet. To get verified, just click on your profile picture in the upper right corner of the page.

From there, a dropdown menu will appear. Click on ‘Become a Model’.

You’ll be taken to the model application page for the third time—yeah, it’s a thing. But you’re almost sorta there! Click ‘Application’ again.

Now, you need to become a ‘Verified User.’ You might be thinking, ‘Didn’t I already verify with my email???’ That was for a regular account—now you need to verify as a creator. Click ‘Start Verification’ to start the process.

Fansly uses a third-party service to verify your identity with fancy face mapping technology, so you need to allow the service to grant access to your webcam on your computer or the camera on your device.

Next, you’ll need to read through the consent form for data processing. If you’re good with everything after you check it out, click ‘I Agree.’

Now it’s time to choose the document you want to use for verification. Once you have it ready, select it from the menu on the screen.

Hold your chosen document in the designated area on the screen so the system can capture a picture. Make sure you’re in a well-lit room—otherwise, you’ll end up re-taking the pictures multiple times.

All done? Great, now do the same thing, but with the back of the document.

OMG, it’s selfie time!

After taking your selfie, you’ll need to choose a username and fill out the application with some basic info like your name, birthday, and address.

Once you’ve filled that out, things become pretty tedious. (As if they weren’t already…)

Next up, you’ll need to take and upload some photos. First, snap clear pictures of both the front and back of the document you used earlier (yup, you gotta do more pictures of the same item). Finally, grab that patiently waiting pen and paper and write:

  • Your first and last name
  • The current date
  • The words: FOR FANSLY

Hold the paper and your ID up with your face in the frame against a blank wall. Take a photo. Look at the photo, realize it’s horrible, why would anyone ask you do to this? Take another photo. Repeat twelve times. Give up. Figure out which is the least blurry one.

Upload all these photos by clicking the plus sign on the menu where you see the list of required uploads. Double-check the checklist to make sure everything’s correct. You’ll then be asked if you plan to upload pornographic content—select ‘Yes,’ ‘No,’ or ‘Maybe.’ After that, agree to the Terms of Service by clicking on the hyperlinked agreement and check the box if you agree.

Submit the application, and you’ll get a pop-up confirming that Fansly received your stuff. You can make changes to your application by visiting the ‘Become a Model’ page again. Yes, again.

In addition to the pop-up, you’ll also receive an email verifying that they got your application.

If your Fansly creator account is approved, you’ll receive a confirmation email within a few days. Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it within a week.

Congratulations, you survived the Fansly sign-up process! Now you have to learn how to set up your tiers, and that is not a walk in the park…
